There's more Hockey than you'd think in Goleta/Santa Barbara, especially after Goleta built a rink, Ice in Paradise. The Santa Barbara Royals, consisting of players from three SBUnified High Schools, and a club team Ice Hawks practice and play there.
The St. Louis Blues made a lifetime fan of me, my dad is from the lou, as I began getting seriously invested in the chel during the 2019 playoffs (which the Blues won over the Bruins).

Royals trail 4-3 with 1:17 and call TO. Goalie Jonah Marmostein was removed from his station after a Royal puck. Knights regained possession and scored on the empty Royal net.

Royals and Knights tied 2-2, second intermission in LA Kings HSL semifinals.

Ironically, Lose Yourself is playing. Royals blew a 5-3 power play opportunity, but tied it right back up after after in the 28th minute

The Santa Barbara Royals earned the No. 3 seed for L.A. Kings High School Hockey League playoffs after beating the East County Outlaws 5-1 in the in their final regular season game on Saturday at Ice in Paradise in Goleta.
