Leo Tochterman, a sports reporter for The State Press, talks to host Judah Brody about some of his experiences in March 2020 as sports across the world paused. In early 2020, Tochterman was also an intern for Sun Devil Athletics media relations, in addition to working with The State Press. He recalled protocols changing at the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and a reporter returning home after only a day in Las Vegas, where he had planned to cover the Men's Tournament. Like many ASU students, Tochterman felt confusion and uncertainty regarding the pandemic and left Tempe after a few weeks of Zoom classes, to return to his home in Sacramento.
